|At Kenco, we’ve always believed in making a difference – not just to our customers, but also our coffee growers and our partners. Kenco is all about fairness, which is reflected in the way we make our coffee, our ethical principles and our charitable activities. This is why we are so proud to partner Macmillan.
As well as supporting Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual event – the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – we have plenty more fundraising ideas and events to come. Why? Because half of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetime*, and if there’s a difference we can make, we’ll do all we can.
This May the Kenco and Macmillan team took on the challenge of transforming a garden for the Eden Unit at the local Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. The unit provides cancer treatments and offers a friendly, supportive environment to all patients living with cancer.
A team of twelve inspired volunteers spent the day restoring the garden from an unusable space into an enjoyable and relaxing place for patients and nurses alike. The team were delighted to have made a real difference to the ward.
