User Agreement for Kraft Foods-Operated Web Site

Entering the Kenco/Macmillan Ben Fogle competition

  1. The closing date for entries is 6th September 2010 (midnight).
  2. Entry to the competition is free and no purchase is necessary.
  3. Entry is open to residents of UK and the Republic of Ireland aged 18+ years old only, excluding employees or their immediate families of Kraft Foods, Macmillan, their agents, affiliates and anyone professionally associated with administration of this promotion.
  4. Entrants must register for the Macmillan “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” at www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee to hold a Macmillan ‘coffee morning’ event on 20th September 2010, then submit, in no more than 50 words, a description of why they’re raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and how Kenco and Ben Fogle can help make a positive impact for their coffee morning’
  5. Only one entry per household. No bulk or third party entries
  6. Entrants must supply their name, address, email address and telephone number.
  7. Macmillan will collect and process your personal information in order to run the competition and it will be shared with the Promoter and Macmillan's agents to the extent necessary for the prize to be delivered to the winner.
  8. Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed or incomplete for any reason whatsoever.
  9. Winners will be notified by telephone within three days of the closing date and a short telephone interview with the winners will take place to verify that they have arranged a coffee morning event for the 20th September 2010. The winners’ names and counties will be available from 20th September 2010 on www.winnersgallery.co.uk.
  10. There are two prizes available, comprising a visit by Ben Fogle to the winners’ coffee morning event for a minimum of one hour during which Ben will meet and greet the winners and their guests, help serve coffee and have photographs taken by an independent photographer and potentially local media. Each winner will also receive a hamper.
  11. The winners will be chosen on the basis of how their entry describes the strength of positive impact they believe Kenco and Ben Fogle might have on the success of their Macmillan event and their enthusiasm towards Macmillan’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. If a winner cannot be contacted by 13th September 2010, or a winner is no longer holding a coffee morning event on 20th September 2010, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant selected using the same criteria.
  13. Coffee mornings events may take place at any time of day on 20th September 2010. Ben Fogle’s attendance will be dependent upon availability and travel – a level of flexibility will be required by winners, on the timing of their event.
  14. There is no alternative to the prizes. Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  15. Winners accept prizes on the understanding that media representatives may be present at their event.
  16. A winner may withdraw from participation at the Promoter’s discretion. If a winner cannot participate for reasons beyond their reasonable control, they must notify the Promoter at the earliest possible time and Promoter may in its absolute discretion allocate the opportunity to an alternative winner selected using the same criteria
  17. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to release any winner at any stage of the promotion whose actions, circumstances or reputation risk bringing the Kenco brand or Macmillan organisation into disrepute or who are, or become, otherwise unsuitable or inappropriate for any reason whatsoever.
  18. All coffee morning event activity will be undertaken at the winners’ own risk. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage to persons or property for the duration of the coffee morning events, except as required by applicable law.
  19. By participating in the competition, you agree to release and hold the Promoter, Macmillan, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies, together with their respective employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with participating in the competition or resulting from your acceptance or use of the prize, provided that nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit Promoter’s or Macmillan's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
  20. Winners are obliged to carry out all promotion-related activity in a reasonable and professional manner and not communicate negatively in public regarding Kenco, Macmillan, Kraft Foods or anyone involved in the promotion.
  21. Winners will be required to take part in activity that will drive general awareness around the coffee morning events. Activities include but are not limited to:
    1. Participation in a photo alongside Ben Fogle
    2. Participation in competition-related interviews with local and/or national media
  22. All entries and resulting materials become the property of the Promoter & Macmillan and may be used by the Promoter and Macmillan at any time at its discretion in any media anywhere in the world with the prior consent of the other.
  23. The Promoter cannot take responsibility for media coverage arising from the winners’ acceptance of their prizes.

Waste Less Challenge

  1. No purchase necessary.
  2. The promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 18+ only. Employees and their immediate families of Kraft Foods, their agents, subsidiaries, and anyone else professionally associated with this promotion are not permitted to enter.
  3. Entries are restricted to one entry per person. To enter simply sign up to our waste less challenge online at www.kenco.co.uk and answer a simple multiple choice question. Correct entries will be entered into the daily draw to win the Kenco coffee storage containers and into the main draw to win the eco breaks.
  4. Closing date for receipt of entries into the main draw is midnight on 1.6.10.
  5. There are 10 prizes available of a minimum two night stay at UK eco breaks, for a maximum of two adults and two children (under the age of 18). The prize includes accommodation only in an eco-friendly self-catering hotel or farm. Promoter will supply a list of possible destinations. Eco breaks can not be taken during Christmas, Easter or Bank Holiday weekends. Eco breaks are subject to availability and must be taken by December 2010.
  6. The winners of the 10 eco breaks will be the senders of the first 10 entries who answer the multiple choice question correctly to the ‘waste less pledge’ selected at random by an independent party after the closing date. The winners of the eco breaks will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date and the winners’ names and counties will be available on www.winnersgallery.co.uk and www.kenco.co.uk between 12th-26th July 2010.

Young Eco Designer

Entering the competition

  1. Entry to the competition is free and no purchase is necessary.
  2. Entries must be drawings, paintings, or photographs of models made by children between 6 and 12 years old (as at date of entry into the competition), showing what they would like to upcycle/ make, from waste Kenco Eco Refill packaging.
  3. The child’s entries must be uploaded on kenco.co.uk, handed in at one of the roadshows or sent via Freepost address (Kenco Young Eco Designer, Freepost RRSS-JEYZ-KCZB, Concorde Building, South Marston Park, Swindon SN3 4TQ) by the child’s parent or guardian. Only one entry per child and one entry per submission. No bulk or third party entries.
  4. Open to children aged 6 – 12 years old who are residents of UK and Ireland only.
  5. Employees or their immediate families of Kraft Foods, TerraCycle, their agents, affiliates and subsidiaries are excluded.
  6. Entrants must supply their name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth and a description of the entry on the official entry form (whether paper copy or online, dependent on submission route), along with the parent/guardian name and contact details.
  7. The closing date for entries is 30th April 2010 (midnight for online entries).
  8. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  9. Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed or incomplete for any reason whatsoever.
  10. All rights in entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used by Promoter at any time at its discretion.
  11. Once submitted entries will be split into regions, depending on address details, as follows: London, Central, Granada, Yorkshire, Meridian, Scottish, Grampian, Wales and the West, Anglia, Tyne Tees, West Country, Ireland and Border.
  12. Judging of entries will be under independent supervision based on creativity, originality and feasibility. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.


  13. Voting stage

  14. The best entry per region (13 entries in total) as judged by the panel of judges based on creativity, originality and feasibility for the design to be made from Kenco Eco Refill packs, will then be posted on www.kenco.co.uk and open for public voting from 6pm on 19th May 2010 until midnight on 31st May 2010. Votes received after this time will not be counted.
  15. To vote for your favourite entry please send an email to vote@kenco.co.uk stating the finalists’ name in the subject line. Only one vote allowed per email address. Voters’ email addresses will be deleted following the completion of this competition.
  16. Emails with no finalist name in the subject line will not be counted.
  17. The entry receiving the highest number of public votes will be the overall winner, no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. The winner will be notified by telephone within 3 days of the closing date. Closing date is 31st May 2010. If the winner cannot be contacted by 14th June 2010 the first prize will be awarded to the entrant who received the second highest number of votes. In the event of a tie break for first place the judges will be asked to choose an overall winner.
  19. The prize for the winning entrant comprises one 4 night holiday to New York City for a family of 4 including a day visit to TerraCycle’s factory. All meals, accommodation and flights are included and £100 towards transfers between the winners’ home and departure airport, as well as basic travel insurance, although we recommend that the winners check this insurance is sufficient for their needs before travelling. Passports, visas & compliance with all travel requirements are the winner’s responsibility. The prize must be taken by 30th September 2010, subject to availability. There are also 12 runner-up prizes of a design pack including a cap, craft kits and upcycled pencil case, and for their parents/ guardian an upcycled tote bag, pack of Kenco Eco Refill instant coffee and a coffee storage canister. These will be despatched by 14th June 2010.
  20. There is no alternative to the prizes. Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  21. .In accepting the main prize, the parent/ guardian agrees to let the winner take part in media interviews and photography, as well as any other publicity in connection with this campaign on behalf of the Promoter. Promoter will liaise with winner’s parent/guardian to agree all media publicity.

Free Prize Draw

  3. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. The promotion is open to residents of the UK only, except employees and their immediate families of Kraft Foods, their agents, subsidiaries and anyone else professionally associated with this promotion.
  4. The main prize for the Kenco “Pack Your Bags” free prize draw consists of a 7 night break to Costa Rica for 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12 including return flights from London to San Jose (including carbon offsetting) and private airport transfers on arrival and departure, 2 nights accommodation in a 4 star San Jose hotel including breakfast and dinner, private return transfers to the Monteverde Lodge in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, 5 nights accommodation in a Junior Suite with breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout their stay and unlimited entrance to the hotel’s private reserve. Activities available include a forest canopy tour, mountain biking and a horse riding excursion through the beautiful rainforest. Guests can choose to take part in all activities although they are not mandatory and guests can choose not to take part if they so wish.
    If the children of the winning family are over 12 years of age the family will be notified of supplements for flights and accommodation that must be paid by the family should they wish to accept this prize.
    The winning family will be responsible for travel insurance, transport to and from the London airport and all other personal expenses. The family must have valid passports with minimum 6 month validity beyond the return date, with at least 2 unstamped pages. The winning family must take the prize in time to be back in the UK by 24th December 2011 (subject to availability) but excluding Christmas, New Year and Bank Holiday periods and once booked the holiday cannot be amended.
